MESSY CHURCH
Messy Church is an intentionally intergenerational place for people to meet and experience fun and messy ways to engage in faith, including crafts and activities, worship, and a shared meal.
Third Fridays, 5:30-7:30 pm
(doors open at 5:00 pm for those who wish to gather before activities begin)
Who is Messy Church for?
Everyone! People of all ages are welcome to come and participate in this family-friendly, faith-building gathering! Whether you are in church every week or have never been to church before, there is space for you here! (Children must be accompanied by an adult)
What is taught at Messy Church?
Faith formation topics and Bible stories are explored in ways that invite our whole messy selves into God's story of the good news of Jesus Christ - that we are freed and forgiven in God's abundant grace and that God's love is for us, all of us.
What happens at Messy Church?
We gather around a free, shared family meal (please contact us ahead of time for any dietary restrictions), discussing prompted questions to begin to engage in the topic of the day. After dinner, participants are invited to discover and explore the faith theme of the day through a variety of guided activities and crafts. We end our time together with a lively, guitar-led, interactive time of celebration focused on the theme.
