Summer Book Discussions
You are invited to join conversations of prayer, faith, and life as a disciple as we discuss a different book each month. Each book is around 100 pages. Copies of the books will be available in the church office throughout the summer. Books are also available on Kindle and Audible. The books and meetings dates are below. Discussion typically lasts an hour and a half. You are welcome to attend either the Sunday or the Wednesday meetings.

Service of Hope and Healing

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)
This Service of Hope and Healing invites you to lay down your burdens at the foot of the cross. Filled with scripture, song, and prayer, this service offers a quiet, reflective space to dwell in God’s promise of hope and healing. Whether you are dealing with illness, grief, anxiety or another kind of hardship, this service offers peace. Service meets in the sanctuary at 6:30 pm and lasts approximately 30-45 minutes.
Individual Holy Communion at Penn Mar Apartments

Pastor Katie is available one day a month to bring communion to residents of Penn Mar Apartments. Residents are asked to sign up with the activities director.
All Ages Corn Hole Golf Outing

Nothing says summer like a trip to Mars Bethel Golf and ice cream! We will gather at Mars Bethel Mini Golf, form teams, and enjoy a fun evening in community!
Youth Car Wash Fundraiser

Help support the youth and family ministries of St. John Lutheran Church by getting your car washed! We will be in the Mars Agway Parking lot. Free will donations are accepted. (cash or check only, please)
Campfire Worship

Come gather around a campfire for a fun, relaxed, brief worship service filled with guitar-led camp songs. Stick around for s'mores and mountain pies after worship! Bring your own chair or blanket.
