Holy Week is a pivotal moment in the Christian calendar year. We remember all the events in the week of Jesus' death and resurrection. From his celebrated entry into Jerusalem, to his last supper with his friends, to his crucifixion, Holy Week is a dramatic story that helps us celebrate his resurrection with even more enthusiasm and joy.
The Family Cross Walk helps families approach this dramatic story through interactive storytelling, activities, and crafts in a way that is family-friendly for all ages. Space is limited for this free Holy Week experience, so register today!
What to Expect
Scriptural Storytelling
Learn the stories of Holy Week as families are invited to move through each story at different stations around the church and grounds, hearing from Scripture with each story retold in a family-friendly way.
Faith Formation
Families will engage with what the stories of Holy Week mean to them and how these stories enrich the ways we celebrate the joy of Jesus' resurrection on Easter Sunday.
Interactive Activies and Crafts
Elements of each story will be reimagined in ways for families to actively participate in the story in ways that make the stories easy to remember for all ages.
Fun for All Ages
Though the stories of Holy Week invite serious reflection, the Kids Cross Walk will take families on the journey of Holy Week through fun, engaging elements for the whole family.
Who is Invited?
The Family Cross Walk is free and open to all people regardless of church membership or affiliation. Whether you have the Holy Week stories memorized or you have never heard them before, you are invited and welcomed at the Family Cross Walk! Whether you are a big family with lots of children, a family of a single adult, or somewhere in between, you are invited and welcomed at the Family Cross Walk!
